About me
I’m Tara Louise Clark, born in London, Ontario, an Aquarius Sun with an Aries Moon and Aries Rising, a Life Path 11, ten placements in my 12th house, and a clear Yod in my chart. My life was shaped by healing from the beginning. I had major surgery at less than three weeks old, weighing just over three pounds, and spent much of my childhood in hospitals with severe, life-threatening asthma. These early initiations awakened the seeker in me, pushing me to question my purpose, my breath, and the deeper meaning of my existence.
Yoga found me young, opening a path toward breath, nervous system healing, and emotional clarity. From therapy to 12-step recovery to ancestral and somatic work, every modality I’ve walked through has led me home to myself. My calling now is to share that lived experience, to show others what it looks like to heal from within, to honour themselves, and to remember who they truly are.

THE HOUSE OF TARA METHOD
The Compassionate Witness
Over the years people often came to me during moments of transition.
Sometimes they were grieving. Sometimes they were overwhelmed. Sometimes they simply felt lost and unsure of their next step.
What I began to notice was something interesting…Most people do not actually need someone to tell them what to do. What they need is someone who can sit beside them long enough for their own wisdom to emerge. That presence I call “The Compassionate Witness.”
A compassionate witness does not rush to fix or direct. Instead, they create a space where a person can slow down, breathe, and begin to see clearly again.
When we feel deeply seen without judgement, something inside us softens. Our nervous system settles. Our thoughts become clearer. And the next step often reveals itself naturally. Over time, I realized there was a simple pattern that unfolded in these conversations. Again and again, the same sequence appeared. This eventually became what I now call The House of Tara Method

House of Tara
THE HOUSE OF TARA
A sanctuary of Star, Earth & Compassion
TARA AS STAR
In many ancient languages, Tara means “star” She’s a guiding light, radiant, unwavering, and ever present. Here we honour the cosmic journey of the soul returning home. “May this house remind you of the stardust you are made of.”
TARA AS EARTH
In Celtic and Indigenous traditions, Tara is the Earth, a sacred hill, a grounding force, a living memory. this is a place to root down, remember your lineage, and reconnect with the body as sacred land. “May this house help you remember that healing begins where your feet touch the Earth.”
TARA AS COMPASSION
In Buddhism, Green Tara is the goddess of compassion and liberation. she is the mother who answers everyone’s cry, who protects, heals, and acts with loving swiftness. Her energy lives in every ritual, retreat, and breath herein. “May this house be a place where your pain is met with compassion, and your truth is welcomed home.”
At The House of Tara….
We honour the star that guides you, the earth the holds you, and the compassion that frees you.
The House of Tara Philosophy
The House of Tara is built on the belief that every person carries an innate wisdom within them.
Life will inevitably bring moments of loss, heartbreak, uncertainty , and transformation. these experiences can leave us feeling disoriented, disconnected from ourselves, or unsure of our path forward.
In these moments, we often search outside ourselves for answers.
The philosophy of House of Tara is that healing does not come from someone fixing us. It comes from being seen, witnessed, and supported while we reconnect with our own inner knowing.
The work is not about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering who we are beneath the noise of the world.
House of Tara offers spaces where people can slow down, reflect, and move through life’s transitions with greater clarity, steadiness, and compassion for themselves.
